The parent company of British Airways, IAG, announced the launch of a new low-cost carrier, branded LEVEL, which will be based in Vienna. LEVEL is a part of Anisec airline, which has already been providing long-haul services to Barcelona.
LEVEL will start providing services on 17th July, 2018, and is scheduled to fly to 14 European destinations:
- London Gatwick
- Paris Charles de Gaulle
- Milan Malpensa
The customers will be able to bring one hand baggage item onboard for free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and checked baggage will also be available for an additional fee, which is usually the case with low-cost carriers.
Having a new low-cost carrier present in Vienna will mean a more heated competition between Niki, easyJet and the newcomer, which usually leads to so-called fare-wars, which usually result in significantly cheaper flight tickets.
We at Flyavel are very excited for the new flight connections and additional more budget-friendly travel options.
